Thonburi Thawiwatthana Hospital hereby announces that it will proceed with the destruction of outpatient and inpatient medical records for the year 2025, relating to patients who received medical treatment at the hospital. This process will be carried out in accordance with the hospital's internal data management and information control policy. The destruction of these medical records is scheduled to be completed within July 2026 and will apply to the following cases :
Inpatient medical records and newborn medical records of patients who received treatment between 1993 and 2015, or who have had no contact with the hospital for a period of 10 years or more.
Medical records of deceased patients who have been deceased for more than 10 years (patients who passed away before 2015).
Medical records related to legal proceedings where the case has been concluded or the statutory retention period has exceeded 20 years (prior to 2015).
If a patient's medical records are related to legal proceedings or are currently required for legal purposes, and the patient or an authorized representative wishes the hospital to retain the records as evidence, they may submit a request to the Medical Records Department, Document Center. After the specified deadline, Thonburi Thawi Watthana Hospital reserves the right to destroy the medical records in accordance with the hospital's policies, regulations, and established procedures.
